Back after a sold-out concert at the Barbican three years ago, this is something of a homecoming performance for the Guildhall School alumnus, as part of his world tour. Performing material from his latest album, Ara has been inspired by his young son: ‘This tour is the result of watching my son grow, it is the result of my growth by his side’.
The Lebanese-Armenian musician’s bold, charismatic style – performing everything from Bach to flamenco to Guns n Roses – has made him a sought-after figure. He has performed around the world with artists including Sting and Fairuz and orchestras such as the London Chamber Orchestra and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
